George Paul Fay, 84, passed away Saturday, April 4, 2026 at Longevity of Granite City.
He was born January 11, 1942 in Carrollton to John and Pearline (Craigmiles) Fay.
He married Janice K. McMichael September 23, 1961; she preceded him in death on their 60th wedding anniversary in 2021.
Paul worked as an electrician for Laclede Steel. He enjoyed painting and woodworking. He also liked model trains and remote control airplanes. Paul could build or fix anything.
He is survived by two sons, Jeffrey Paul Fay of East Alton and Bradley Kent (Robin) Fay of Rosewood Heights; two grandchildren, Nathan Paul Fay and Mya Kay Fay (Ryan); two great grandchildren, Eli and Braxton; two siblings, John Fay and Sharon Hoekstra; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Mel and Mike Fay.
A Celebration of Life will be held privately by the family. Memorials may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
