Geneva J. Cameron, 93, of Bethalto, IL, passed away on October 9, 2026.
She was born on November 27, 1932, in Braggadocio, MO, the daughter of Lonnie "Willis" and Anna M. (Boatwright) Glass. Geneva married Charles A. Cameron in Marston, MO, on June 10, 1951. He preceded her in death on February 14, 1980.
Geneva worked as a unit secretary at Alton Memorial Hospital for 38 years until her retirement in 2003. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Cottage Hills and The Red Hat Society. Geneva enjoyed crocheting, quilting, and traveling especially to Las Vegas. She has traveled to 33 states in total. Most of all, she loved spending time with her friends and family.
Survivors include her children, Reva Davis of Moro, IL, Larry Cameron of Garland, TX, and Richard (Angela) Cameron of Bryan, TX; brother, Jimmie (Sharron) Glass of Clarkton, MO; sister, Mary Sue (Mike) Demers of Las Vegas, NV; grandchildren, Cory Davis, Rebecca Cameron, and Austin Cameron; great-grandchildren, K.C. Kluesner, Jasmine Davis, Matthew Davis, and Charles Davis; and great-great-grandchildren, Hailey, Andrew, Brian, and Zelda.
Along with her parents, and husband, Charles, she was preceded in death by siblings, Gwen Crocker, Lonnie Willis Glass, Jr, Jack Glass, David Glass, and Doyne Glass; daughter-in-law, Nellie Cameron; and a grandson, Scott Aaron Davis.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 15, 2026, from 5 pm to 7 pm, at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto. Funeral service will be on Friday, October 16, 2026, at 11 am, at Elias, Kallal, and Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto. Pastor Terry McKinzie will officiate.
Burial will follow at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.
