Gavin Ray Bland, 35, passed away Saturday March 4, 2017 at home.
He was born on June 16, 1981 in Wood River, IL the son of William “Bill” Bland Sr. and Janis Baze.
Gavin worked for Schemel-Tarrillion for several years in construction and loved spending time with his son Nolan Ray Bland.
He is survived by his son Nolan Ray Bland, his mother, Janis Taulman, his dad, Max Taulman, the mother of his son, Kayley Lemons, two sisters, Carie Martin and her fiancé, Brian Bishop; and Donna Bland; two brothers, Chris Freeman and Darryl Bland; several nieces and nephews, Wyatt, Maddi, Oliver, Christian, Zander, Porter, Jaicee, Ellie Mae, Kylin; special friends, Wally and Deon Nation, Theresa Shanks, Josh Kronable, Mike McCluggage, and Josh Fuhler.
He was preceded in death by his father, William “Bill” Bland, a brother, Bobby Bland, Granny Ona, and Grandma Maxine.
Visitation will be from 11 am until time of funeral services at 3 pm Friday, March 10, 2017 at Gress, Kallal, and Schaaf Funeral Home in Brussels.
Cremation rites will follow.
Memorials may be made to the Nolan Ray Bland trust fund.
