Gary G. Heflin, 76, of Edwardsville, passed away on Monday, January 29, 2018, at his residence.
Gary was born on June 9, 1941 in Bethalto, IL, the son of Jenson and Lois (Wisdom) Summers, both preceded him in death. He married Michele L. Heflin on December 28, 1976, in Alton, Illinois, she survives.
Gary loved his cars. He also enjoyed working out in the yard and spending time with his family and friends.
Along with his wife he is survived by 4 children, Lance Heflin of Warrensburg, MO, Nicole (David) McCannon of Warrensburg, MO, Matthew (Christine) Crause of Glen Carbon and Elizabeth Denis of Moro; 8 grandchildren, Whitney Heflin, Fallon Heflin, Dylan McCannon, Jake McCannon, Kylee Crause, Michele (John) Williams, Courtney (Michael) Wesley and Jennifer Zini; 5 great grandchildren, Ayden, Hudson, Sienna, Kenzie and Harper; a brother, Jack (Sharon) Heflin of Bethalto; and a sister, Gayle (Larry) Hausman of Carbondale, IL.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Tracey Panyik; a son, Cary Heflin; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Guy and Louise Paneschi.
Visitation will be from 11 am until time of service at 12 pm on Thursday, February 1, 2018 at Elias, Kallal, and Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto. Pastor Charles West will officiate.
Burial will be at Rose Lawn Memory Garden in Bethalto.
