Gary Landolt

Gary A. Landolt, 61, passed away 12:05 a.m., Wednesday, November 29, 201 at his residence.

Born in Alton on March 2, 1956, he was the son of Ida (Mollett) Landolt of Hartford and the late Herbert Landolt.

He had owned Advanced Machine Products in Hartford for over 30 years.  He had earned a degree from North County Technical School and was a journeyman machinist and union apprentice.  An avid racer and mechanic in both motocross and dirt track auto racing, he loved being around the track as well as operating his radio control cars. Gary was also a designer and inventor, having obtained three U.S. Patents.

On April 1, 1978 in Hartford, he married Beverly J. Callahan.  She survives.

Surving in addition to his mother and wife are a son, Jay Landolt (companion, Abbey Conoyer) of Wood River; daughter, Adrianne (Max) Norris of Old Monroe, MO; two grandchildren, Henry Landolt and Kodak Norris; brother, Dale (Beth) Landolt of Pocahontas; as well as nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Friday at Marks Mortuary in Wood River where funeral services will be conducted at 12:30 p.m. Saturday.

Burial will follow in Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.

Memorials may be made to Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital in St. Louis.
