Freeman A. Robinson 77, of Alton passed away Friday, June 24, 2016 at Willow Rose Rehab. & Heath Care in Jerseyville. He was born August 7, 1938 in Herod, IL to Freeman Philmore and Violet (Burton) Robinson. He married Sharon Butler August 7, 1959. Freeman was retired from Laclede Steel in 1996 after 37 years of service.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon Robinson of Alton; four sons, Mark Robinson of Hoffman Estates, IL, Matthew (Cheryl) Robinson of Godfrey, David Robinson of Alton and Chris (Heather) Robinson of Brighton; two daughters, Starla (Royce) Dempsey of Imperial, MO and Dezarea Robinson (Roger Denton) of Alton; 6 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; two brothers, Larry Robinson of Harrisburg, IL and Roger Robinson of Herod, IL and a sister, Thelma (Lester) Wilson of Bethalto.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Willard and Darvon Robinson.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at Paynic Home for Funerals in Rosewood Heights. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto. Online guestbook available at www.paynicfh.com. Memorials can be made in care of the family.
