Frederick A. “Fred” Kaska, age 60, passed away at 7:30 pm December 13, 2012 at Christian NE Hospital in St. Louis with his family by his side.
He was born on July 22, 1952, in Moline, IL, son of Arthur and Eleanor (McCann) Kaska.
Fred married Cindy M. Cox June 17, 1995 in Alton. She survives.
He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was an assistant manager at the Tire Shop for three years. He was a member of the VFW in Wood River.
He is survived by his wife Cindy, one son Bill Kaska of Florida, one step son and spouse Marc (Amy) Cox of Alton, two grandchildren Drew and Scout Cox, one sister and spouse Sandy (Wayne) Moore of Desoto, MO, mother and father-in-law, Jerry and Earlene Cox of Alton, also survived by his good buddy Max.
Fred was preceded in death by his parents, and one sister Judy Prang.
Per his wishes cremation rites will be accorded. Memorial Service will be held at Godfrey First United Methodist Church December 16, 2012 at 2 pm with Rev. Don Long officiating.
Burial will be at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery at a later date.
