Fred Giffin

Fred James “Jamie” Giffin III, 49, of Granite City, Illinois passed away at 8:45 p.m. on Tuesday, February 13, 2024, at Gateway Regional Medical Center in Granite City.  He was born September 13, 1974, in Granite City, a son of Donald Lee Giffin of Granite City and the late Nancy Louise (Buskirk) Giffin.  He enjoyed his days of playing pool and fishing.  He cherished his family and loved spending time with his nieces.  In addition to his father, he is survived by a sister, Jenna Ferguson and her boyfriend, Colen Tucker; nieces, Lailah Ferguson, Kenlee Tucker and Hanna Tucker; nephews, Zachary Tucker and Braxton Tucker; aunts, Sandra Wilson, Bonnie Stockton and Patricia Giffin; cousins; other extended family and friends.  In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Fred Giffin and Betty Pulley and an aunt, Barbara Gorman.  In celebration of his life a private family service will be held at a later date.  Memorials may be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association.  Irwin Chapel of Granite City in charge of arrangements.  www.irwinchapel.com
