Franklin Delnore Frazier Jr., 52, died unexpectedly Tuesday, October 9, 2012 in Port Arthur, Texas. He was born November 19, 1959, in Jerseyville, and was one of four children born to Franklin Delnore Sr. and Phyllis Marlene (Tucker) Frazier.
He attended Jersey Community High School and began working for Fer River Towing at the age of 19 as a Deck Hand before being promoted to First Mate and then to his current position as Captain with Lorris Towing Company. "Captain Frank" as he was lovingly referred to by many, enjoyed shooting pool and riding his Harley in his free time. It will be, however, his giving heart and his love for his family and friends that he will be most remembered for.
Surving are his parents, Frank Sr. & Phyllis (Tucker) Frazier of Godrey, three sisters and their spouses, Julie (Kevin) Witt of Jerseyville, Kathy Isringhausen of Mechanicsville, Va, and Brenda (David) Groffe of Bridge City, TX. six nieces, Brooke & Bridget Fitzgibbons of Jerseyville, Rachel (Hector) Oceguera of Bridge City, TX, Jennifer (Lance) Fall of Orange, TX and Heather (David) Groff of Bridge City, TX. A nephew, Chase Isringhausen of Mechanicsville, Va; and six great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. Monday, October 14, 2012 at Crawford Funeral Home where services will be conducted at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Barb Alley officiating.
Burial will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery.
Crawford Funeral Home in Jerseyville is in charge of arrangements.
