Frank Harlow Kalips, 87, of DuBois, IL, passed away at 3:08 p.m. Sat. Dec. 1, 2018 at Anderson Hospital in Maryville, IL.
He was born Sept. 28, 1931 in Granite City, IL to the late Leo Leslie and Lena Susan (Hamilton) Kalips.
Mr. Kalips retired after 27 years of service as a supervisor for A.O. Smith. He was a member Disabled American Veterans and the VFW. He loved camping, boating, fishing and cutting his grass.
He is survived by his former spouse: Patricia A. (Simpson) Kalips; a daughter: Kimberly (Joseph) Humphreys Sr.; a son: Frank Richard Kalips all of Granite City; 2 grandchildren: Joseph Humphreys Jr. and Jennifer (Anthony) Lewis; 6 great-grandchildren: Katherine, Jocelyn and Ava Humphreys and Alexis, EmmaJae and Oliver Lewis; and a sister: Mary Scarsdale of Edwardsville, IL.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his 2nd wife: Marilyn South Kalips; a brother: Leo Kalips II; and a sister: Patricia Tapp.
Memorial visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Sat. Dec. 8, 2018 at Wojstrom Funeral Home & Crematory, 3939 Lake Dr., Granite City, IL 62040.
