Frances McKennon

Frances Gaylene McKennon, 73, died at 10:37 p.m., Saturday, April 6, 2024 at her home in Jerseyville. She was born on February 16, 1951 in Joliet, Illinois and was the daughter of the late Ishmael and Virginia (Prather) King. She married Joseph McKennon on April 15, 1967 in St. Charles, Missouri. Together, they were the proud parents of three children, and shared in the joys of their sixgrandchildren and seven great grandchildren that followed. She was employed for 25 years as a Waitress at the former 518 South Restaurant in Jerseyville, where she created many lasting friendships throughout the years. Surviving are her husband of nearly 57 years, Joseph McKennon of Jerseyville; three children, Bryan McKennon of Jerseyville; Matthew (Kristi) McKennon of Valdosta, Georgia and Mark (Jenilynn) McKennon of Jerseyville; six grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; two sisters and brothers in-law, Connie and Ron Dean of Jerseyville and Nancy (Steve) Rue of Jerseyville; as well as a brother and sister in-law, Tom and Ellen King of Springfield. Crawford Funeral Home in Jerseyville has been entrusted with arrangements. Memories may be shared with the family by visiting www.crawfordfunerals.com.
