Floyd William 'Sonny' Wisnasky, 65, died 7:31 a.m. Thursday at Alton Memorial Hospital.
Born in Wood River on September 17, 1951, he was the son of Floyd Felton and Martha (Campbell) Wisnasky.
He had been a laborer at Duncan Foundry in Alton and later a Telegraph route carrier for Cottage Hills News.
Sonny had a wonderful sense of humor, enjoyed cars and car shows, dirt track racing and a devoted member of his church. His favorite saying will be remembered as, "You dropped your pocket..".
Surviving are Johnnie (Rodger) Dickerson-Jennings, Krista Medina, Laura Berry, Brittany and Sonny Dickerson, Sierra and Rodger Jennings, Phyllis Ostar, Sally Payne, Thomas Dickerson; as well as many other nieces and nephews and extended family members and friends.
His parents and two sisters, Donna Freeman and Loretta Vinson preceded in death.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Marks Mortuary in Wood River.
Burial will follow in Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.
Memorials may be made to the family in care of expenses.
