Florence Scheffel

Florence Antionette Scheffel, 74, of Edwardsville died at 12:02 a.m. Thursday, July 5, 2018, at Missouri Baptist Hospital in St. Louis.Florence was a retired CNA at Eden Village Care Center and worked as a school monitor for Edwardsville School District #7. Florence's passion was selling her handmade crafts.She was born June 18, 1944, in Ft. Bragg, North Carolina the daughter of the late Stonie Travis Sizemore & Margaret (Zimmerman) Sizemore Bauer, and the stepdaughter of the late John H. Bauer, Sr.Florence is survived by two sons, David Scheffel of Edwardsville and James Scheffel & wife Melody of Godfrey, Illinois; one daughter, Sheryl Hackethal & husband Kevin of Edwardsville; five grandchildren, Jonce Scheffel, Savannah Scheffel, Brandon Stewart , Bryan Stewart, and Thomas Hackethal; one brother, John Bauer, Jr. of St. Louis County; and one sister, Freda Bauer of Brighton.She was preceded in death by two brothers, Stonie Sizemore and David Bauer.There is no visitation. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, July 14, 2018, at Weber & Rodney Funeral Home with Pastor David Blackburn officiating.According to her wishes she was cremated.
