F. Marlene Mattingly, age 91, passed away Friday June 1, 2018 at Heritage Healthcare in Carlinville, IL.
She was born January 2, 1927 in Alton, the daughter of Theodore & Gertrude (Baker) Taul.
Marlene married Robert Mattingly on September 11, 1985 and he preceded her in death.
She is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law and a daughter and son-in-law, David & Ruth Gray of Fountain Hills, AZ, Debbie & Allen Radcliff of Greenfield, IL, Jeffrey & Gail Gray of Alton, and James Gray of Nashville, TN; two step daughters and step sons-in-law, Robin & Kevin Taylor of Montana and Lisa & Sam Newell of Bethalto; eight grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, two brothers and two sister-in-law, Terry & Cathy Taul of Kampsville, IL Harold & Shirley Taul of Florida, one sister Rosemary Matifes of Godfrey;
In addition to her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by Olin Gray, the father of her children, three brothers, Frank, Donald and Bill Taul and a sister, Martha Davey and step daughter, Terri Best.
Visitation will be from 11 am until time of funeral services at 1 pm Tuesday June 5, 2108 at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Godfrey.
Burial will follow at Valhalla Memorial Park in Godfrey.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Hospital.
