Evelyn Penrose Waters, 87, went to be with the Lord at 9:50 am, Saturday September 5, 2015.
She was born in Cape Girardeau, MO on October 31, 1927 the daughter of the late Arthur and Estella (Payton) Penrose.
On November 17, 1951, she married the late Howard Henry Waters.
She is survived by three children, her daughter Judith Evelyn (Rick) Shepard of Alton, IL, two sons James Russell (Kathleen) Waters of St. Louis, MO and Roy William Waters of St. Charles, MO, eight grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, and four great great grandchildren, one sister Marie Schrader. Friend to many, grandmother to all.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, infant son Howard Henry Waters Jr., a sister Alene Faulk, and three brothers Russell, Ernest, and Carl Penrose.
In celebration of her life, visitation will be from 9 am to 10:30 am Wednesday September 9, 2015 at Gospel Tabernacle in Godfrey, IL.
Funeral service will be at 10:30 am Wednesday September 9, 2015 at Gospel Tabernacle with Rev. Albert Daves officiating.
Burial will follow at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
