Eugene Pearson

Eugene “Gene” Pearson, 85, passed away at 5:05 am on Monday October 10, 2016 at home with his loving wife by his side.Gene was born on June 1, 1931 in Tennessee, the son of the late George and Bertha (Austin) Pearson.He Married Janet Marion Allen on October 1, 1992 at College Ave. Presbyterian Church. She survives.He was a former Commander of Alton VFW Post 1308.  He served in the Marines during the Korean War.In addition to his wife he is survived by two children Joseph (Mary) Pearson of Godfrey and Lois Dunlap of Killeen, TX; four grandchildren Cole Pearson, Melissa (Karron) Taylor, Joseph Dunlap, and Melanie Snyder; three great grandchildren Kameryn Taylor, Kristen Snyder, and Emma Main; two step children Jane (Stan) Graham of Bremerton, WA and Steven (Jennifer) Whited of Aurora, Co; two step grandchildren Amber Pauk and Audrey Whited. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a wife Roberta; a brother Argle; a sister Rachael,Per his wishes Cremation Rites have been accorded. A private Inurnment will be at Valhalla Memorial Park in Godfrey.Memorials may be directed to the Evangelical Church in Godfrey or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.Online condolences and guest book may be found at www.eliaskallalandschaaf.com
