Eric Jordan Milford, 59, of Godfrey, Illinois, passed away on 11/21/2025.
He was born on 05/05/1966 in Alton, Illinois; the son of David Milford and Carol Watts.
Eric graduated from Alton High School in 1984 and then served in the United States Navy until 1989. Following his service he worked as a self employed home remodeler contractor until 2000 then went on to work for the International Labour Union until January of 2025. He then worked as a contracted Structural Preservation Safety Monitor, along with founding Piasa Eco Blast LLC.
Beyond professional life, Eric was a devoted father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend to many. He loved researching family history and spending time with his children and grandchildren. He will be remembered for his kindness, love for his family, serving his country, and helping those in need.
Eric was preceded in death by his Father, David Milford; StepFather, Jerry Watts; and Uncle, Ralph Milford.
He is survived by his mother, Carol Watts; his four children, Rachel(Alex)Calvin, Caleb(Ashley)Milford, Zachary Milford, Anna(Nic)Carter and their mother Mary Burns; His nine grandchildren, Elizabeth, Sophie and Charley Milford; Lincoln, Norah, Judson, Evelyn, Waylon, and to join us soon, Bennett Calvin; Ila Carter; His brother Vincent (Heather)Milford and David Milford; his two nieces and two nephews.
A visitation will be held on Friday, November 28, from 9:00am-12:00pm at Gent Funeral Home, Alton, IL. A funeral service will directly follow the visitation at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, MO. The family welcomes all who knew Eric to join in celebrating his life.
