Emma Frances “Franny” Campbell, age 91, passed away at 11:58 am Thursday, September 29, 2016 at Rosewood Care Center, in Alton.
She was born on September 8, 1925 in Alton the daughter of the late Cole and Ada (Ashworth) Fleming.
Emma married George J. Campbell on October 28, 1945 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Alton, he preceded her in death on Friday, July 29, 2011.
She worked as a secretary at Owens Illinois for 35 years. She enjoyed spending her time with the home extensions arts and crafts club. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren
Emma is survived by her son Darby Campbell of Alton; three grandchildren and their spouses Darby and Jessica Campbell, Brandon and Aubrey Campbell, Cydney Campbell; three great grandchildren Evan Campbell, Madeline Doyle, Presley Campbell; four sisters Doris Quigley, June Campbell, Norma Tyree, Mae Wright; three brothers Homer Fleming, David Fleming, Gary Fleming.
Se was preceded in death by her parents and husband George J. “Pitts” Campbell; a sister Virginia Coons; three brothers Eugene Fleming, Milan Fleming, Leonard Fleming.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 pm, Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Alton, IL.
Funeral will be at 11 am Thursday, October 6, 2016 at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Alton with Rev. William Vieth officiating.
Burial will follow at Valhalla Memorial Park in Godfrey
