Elizabeth Ann Whitehead, 79, passed away Friday, January 5, 2024 at her home.
Born June 4, 1944 in Alton, she was the daughter of Samuel B. and Dorothy Geneva (Bradley) Tite.
She had worked in the packing department for Owens-IL Glass and then in the Primer Division for Olin (Winchester) before retiring.
She enjoyed playing cards, crocheting and gardening.
She married Clint Whitehead who preceded her in death in 2015.
Surviving are a son, Anthony Wayne Whitehead; daughter, Julie (Scott) Barrett; three grandchildren, Nick Barrett, David Barrett, Taylor Whitehead; two great grandchildren, Bocephus and Scarlett Barrett; brother, Ivan (Judy) Tite; and four sisters, Verva Kizer, Veva (Jim) Watts, Wilda (Rodger) Phillips and Judy (Jeff) Roberson.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; granddaughter, Meagan Barrett; sister-in-law, Dorothy Whitehead; and three brothers-in-law, Jerry Whitehead, Tommy Kizer, and Lee Whitehead.
Visitation will be from 12 pm - 3 pm, Sunday, January 7 at Marks Mortuary in Wood River where services will be conducted at 10:30 am, Monday. Pastor Jesse Richee will officiate.
Burial will follow in Woodland Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, yard ornaments are suggested.
