Edwina Meyer peacefully passed away on Sunday, December 17, 2023.
Edwina was preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert, who passed away 6 years ago at the age of 89.
She is survived by her daughters Alicia, Coralie, and Andre, her grandchildren Andrew, Ashley, Isiah, Meaghan and Shayne, her great grandchildren Olivia, Ari, Sophia, and Amara.
She was born and lived most of her life in Calhoun County. She graduated high school at the age of 16 as Valedictorian of her class. She was crowned Apple Blossom Queen in 1953. Gilbert and Edwina were married that same year in October. Edwina was a very loving and nurturing mother. She enjoyed playing the violin, painting, cooking, embroidery, gardening and loved the country life.
Visitation will be Friday, December 22, 2023, from 9:00 until time of service at 11:00 a.m. at St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church in Brussels.
Burial will follow at St. Matthew’s Cemetery.
Memorials can be made to St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church.
