Edwin Dudley, 85, passed away at 8:13 am, Wednesday September 26, 2012 at Barnes Jewish Hospital.
He was born on September 28, 1926 the son of the late Samuel and Edna (Davis) Dudley.
He served his country in the US Army and worked as a communication foreman for Ozark Airlines for over 40 years.
He is survived by a sister, Loretta D. Dudley, of Godfrey; a brother Harold and Betty Dudley, of McAllen, TX; one niece, Charlotte Sawyer, of Foley, AL; and one nephew, Harold Leroy Dudley, of Las Vegas, NV.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by two sisters, Charlotte Louise Sawyer and Maxine Raydel Dudley; two brothers, Irvin Leslie Dudley and Samuel Leroy Dudley; and one niece, Linda.
In celebration of his life visitation will be from 4 pm to 7 pm Monday October 1, 2012 at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Godfrey. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday October 2, 2012 at 10 am at the funeral home.
Burial will follow at Upper Alton Cemetery.
Memorials may be directed to the Alzheimer’s Association or to the American Cancer Society.
