Edward Stephen Tite, 81, passed away Wednesday, November 29, 2023.
Born October 30, 1942 in East Alton, he was the son of Arthur Burtis and Theresa Marie (Bradley) Tite.
He had been a construction laborer for Local #338 in Wood River before retiring in 1995.
He is survived by his wife, Mary K. (nee, Bower) Tite; two sons, Mart (Kristen) Tite, Aaron ( Shelly) Tite; four grandchildren, Christopher, Haley, Marissa and Jada; six great grandchildren, Audrey, Joshua, Claire, Lane, Chloe and Luke; and a sister, Rose Tite .
He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Melissa Marie Tite; five brothers, Ronald, Larry, Art, Richard and Michael Tite; and a sister, Janet Tite Hahnenkamp.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Visitation will be held from 2-5 pm, Sunday, December 3 at Marks Mortuary in Wood River.
A private service will be held at a later date.
Memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer's Disease Foundation.
