Edward Gillham

Edward L. Gillham, age 84 of Edwardsville, Illinois, died on December 17, 2016, at his residence. He is the son of the late Charles & Virginia (Lehne) Gillham. Ed worked at Olin Industries in East Alton, Illinois, for 33 years as a ballistics tester before retiring in 1994. He is survived by a sister, Lucie Cizek of Norwalk, Connecticut; a nephew, Scott Cizek; and two nieces, Amanda Cizek & Laurie Cizek- Branningan. Ed served in the U.S. Navy from 1951 to 1955. He was a member of the American Legion Post 199, Masonic Lodge #99 in Edwardsville, Scottish Rite Bodies in Belleville, Illinois, and the Aniad Shriners in East St. Louis, Illinois. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 7, 2017, at Weber & Rodney Funeral Home in Edwardsville. That will be followed by a Masonic service at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at the Paddock cemetery in Fort Russell Township. Memorials may be made to the Metro East Humane Society.
