Edna Wood

Edna Pauline nee: Lynch Wagner Wood, 83, of Granite City, IL, passed away at 6:29 a.m. Mon. Mar. 2, 2026 at her home surrounded by her family while under hospice care.

She was born Sept. 10, 1942 in Doniphan, MO to the late Ruby Frances (Slayton) Dugan and Willis Henry Lynch Sr.

Enda loved crafts and reading. Her talents and loves included making baby quilts and embroidery.

Survivors include children: Judy (Cuca) Rico, Donna Graham, Christina (Joe) Doty and George (Kassie) Kenneth Wagner Jr.; bonus children; Gary (Linda) Wood, Georgia Ann (Craig) Pennington and Karen (Tom) Schultz; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; brothers: Jesse (Debra) Lynch, Kenneth (Delores) Lynch and Charles Richard Wagner; sisters: Wilma Carter, Linda (Claude) Ward and Delores Mason; half-sister: Charlene Ruch; sister-in-law: Connie Lynch; and many nieces, nephews and extended family.

Edna was preceded in death by her first husband, George Kenneth Wagner Sr., her second husband, Billy Ray Wood Sr.; children: Charles Gene Wood, Paula Wagner and Georgia Stimac, bonus child: Billy Ray Wood Jr.; siblings: Willis “Bub” Henry Lynch Jr., Ricky Lynch, and Mary Brown; son-in-law: Ed Graham; brothers-in-law: Chuck Mason and David Carter; and half-brother, Michael Lynch.

The family will hold a celebration of Edna’s life from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m. Fri. Mar. 6, 2026 at Heritage General Baptist Church in Granite City.
