Edna Mae Baehler passed peacefully into the arms of our Lord April 11, 2026 in Palm Bay, Florida. She was born Edna Mae Wiser April 12, 1935 in Carlinville Illinois to William Glen Wiser and (Della) Ara Dell (Dyer) Wiser. She had 2 sisters, Joyce (Wiser) Kettlehake (Joe), and Della (Wiser) Aiello (Jim) who preceded her in death. Her family moved around often while she was growing up. She always spoke fondly of the time when she lived on the farm with her Grandma and Grandpa Wiser.

She married James Emil Baehler June 16, 1955. They were married 41 years upon his death in March 1996. They had 2 children, Kathy (Baehler) Keenum (Ken) and Roy Baehler (Lisa); 4 grandchildren; Corrie Power (Chad), Heather Butler (Marcos), Ryan Keenum, & Zachary Keenum (Audra) and 4 great grandchildren; Lexi Power, Brody Power, Hattie James Butler and Van Butler.

Edna loved her family and loved the Lord. She enjoyed working with children and helped out with the children’s ministries at Calvary Baptist in Alton where she served faithfully until she moved down to Florida in 2005. She was also very well known for all the cookies she baked for the Youth.

Edna was a faithful member of First Baptist Indialantic where she made many friends and enjoyed serving as she was able.

Her home going service will be held at Gent funeral Home in Alton, Illinois on Monday, April 20,2026 with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Reverend Andre’ Dobson will officiate.
