Earleen M. Ryan, 84, passed away 7:35 p.m., Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at Rosewood Care Center of Alton.
Born July 8, 1932 in St. Louis, she was the daughter of Earl and Elvira (Hernandez) Russell.
She had been a sales associate and greeter at Wood River Wal-Mart for 19 years before she retired.
On June 7, 1952 in St. Louis, she married Billy Ryan. He died March 10, 2005.
Surviving are two sons, William P. "Pat" (Angie) Ryan of Rosewood Heights, Dennis (Denise) Ryan of Fosterburg; daughter, Diana (Steve) Stefl of East Alton; nine grandchildren, Chris, Mike, Amanda, Sarah, Stephanie, Christine, Ashley, Shelbie and Jason; several great grandchildren; a great-great grandchild; and a sister, Elaine Roche of St. Louis.
Her parents; husband; brother, Richard Russell; and sister, Eileen Scotino preceded in death.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Monday, May 15 at Marks Mortuary in Wood River. Father Tom Liebler will officiate.
Burial will follow in Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto
Memorials may be made to St. Louis Children's Hospital.
