Dreya Mackenzie Colley, 16, died at 4:39 p.m. on Thursday, January 2, 2025 at St. Louis University Hospital.
She was born August 9, 2008 in Alton the daughter of Bryan Colley (Stephanie Thaxton) and Lee Anne Edwards (Eric Bennington). She was an 11th grade student in the Alton School District.
Besides her parents, she is survived by her brother, Cody Colley (Desiree Shumate), paternal grandparents, George and JoAnn Carter, Gayle and Dawn Colley, great grandmother, Beverly Baker, a niece, Stella Colley, aunts and uncles, Stacey and Tim Edwards, Marie and Gary Wesolowski, Jeralyn Colley, Michael Colley and Brianne Neal, several cousins, Jaselle Colley, Jupiter Colley, Keegan Colley, Nicholas Grizzle, Lauren and Logan Wesolowski, Elizabeth Meals, Wesley Edwards, Casey Colley and Steven Davis and step brothers and sisters, Rayven Thaxton, Dominick Thaxton, Isaiah Thaxton and Xavier Thaxton.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Melvin and Janice Edwards.
Visitation will be Saturday, January 11, 2025 from 9 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11 a.m. at Gent Funeral Home in Alton. Burial will be at Upper Alton Cemetery. Reverend Daniel Sternquist will officiate.
