Dr. Larry “Moose” Shrode

Dr. Larry “Moose” Shrode, age 74, passed away June 15, 2016, at his home in Alton, IL.

Larry was born in Evansville, IN on September 29, 1941, to Frederick and Loretta (Maxam) Shrode. He graduated from F.J. Reitz High School in 1959. He was also a graduate of the University of Evansville and Logan College of Chiropractic Medicine. Larry served 4 years in the US Air Force. He was a member of the Hadi Shrine, American legion, and American Chiropractic Association.He is survived by his brother, S. Michael “Mick” Shrode of Mt. Vernon, IN; and several nieces and nephewLarry was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Sylvia Helfenbein.A private service was held in Alton, IL with interment at Tupman Cemetery in Evansville, IN.Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home of Alton is in charge of arrangements.
