Dorothy “Tooter” Miles, 86, passed away at Edwardsville Nursing and Rehab on Saturday December 23, 2017.
She was born on September 19, 1931 in Equality, IL the daughter of Clyde & Marie (Rodgers) Raymer.
Dorothy married Alonzo “Des” Miles on October 8, 1949 at Community Baptist Church in Cottage Hills. He preceded her in death on August 11, 2011.
She was a member of First Baptist Church in Bethalto and loved going to Leisure World.
Dorothy is survived by three daughters and a son-in-law, Shelia Miles of Bethalto, Joan (Joe) Martin of Bethalto, and Karen Downs of Bethalto; five grandchildren and spouse, Ben (Joann) Martin, Lucas Downs, (Fiancée Jessica Greene), Whitney (Clay) Cummins, Brianna (Brett) Jones, and Mallory (Ryan) Mancini; five great grandchildren Avarie and Lilyana Martin, Isla Cummins, Rowan Jones, and Poppy Mancini.
Visitation will be from 9 am until time of funeral at 11 am Thursday December 28, 2017 at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto with Rev. Tim Drury officiating.
Burial will follow at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens.
Memorials may be given to the First Baptist Church of Bethalto or Bethalto Senior Citizens
