Dorothy Starbuck, 80, passed away peacefully at 1:45 p.m. Friday, September 27, 2013 at her home with family by her side. Born July 30, 1933 in Hazard, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Lee and Roxie (Colwell) Combs. She was a loving mother. She enjoyed working in her garden and loved plants.
Surviving are four daughters, Beverley Wulf (Mike) of Davenport, IA, Roxie Halvorsen (Tom) of Godfrey, Sonja Hurt (Carl) of Jabez, KY, and Silva Wooden of Godfrey, one son, Darrell Lewis (Penny) of Woolwich, Maine, 17 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, several great-great grandchildren, four brothers, Arnold, Estill, Jessie, and Lee Jr., and four sisters, Polly, Grace, Verdie, and Wanda. She was preceded in death by two sons, Alan D. Lewis and John C. Henrion, two grandsons, Michael Wulf and Brian Caudle, a great granddaughter, Brittnee Myers, and a great grandson, Hunter Henrion.
A memorial visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 1, 2013 at Gent Funeral Home in Alton.
