Dorothy Mae Durham, 90, died peacefully with her family by her side at 2:08 p.m. Thursday, October 13, 2016 at her residence.
Born in Hartford on January 16, 1926, she was the daughter of Herbert and Ella (Atwood) Wollenweber.
A member of the Bethalto Order of the Eastern Star, she was a homemaker and loving mother.
On May 17, 1945 in Edwardsville, she married Thomas L. Durham. He died July 26, 1994.
Surviving are three daughters, Linda (Darrell) Garner , Kathy (Roger) Copeland, Mary (Ralph, Jr.) Mosby all of Cottage Hills; seven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren; and a sister, Zelda Johnson of Wood River.
Preceding in death were her parents; husband; four brothers, Fred, Otto, Marquis and Otis; and a sister, Elain.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Monday at Marks Mortuary in Wood River. Pastor Martin Schultz will officiate.
Burial will follow in Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.
Memorials may be made to Shriner's Hospital for Children or Heartland Hospice in appreciation for their wonderful care.
