Dorothy Korte

Dorothy M. Korte, nee Vollmer, 87, of Jacksonville, IL, born July 1, 1938, in Mascoutah, IL, died Friday, November 21, 2025, at Prairie Village Healthcare Center, Jacksonville, IL.

Dorothy was a housewife who enjoyed raising her children, playing the piano and volunteering at St. Teresa’s Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 43 years, Jerome H. Korte; two infant children, Karen Ann Korte and Thomas George Korte; her second husband of 12 years, Donald P. Feld; her parents, Frank J. and Mathilda, nee Griesbaum, Vollmer; three sisters, Margaret (Ben) Wilken, Mag (Edwin) Hermeling, and Ann (George) Romack; and a sister-in-law, Mildred Vollmer.

Surviving are her son, Steve Korte of West Allis, WI; her daughter, Diane Razo of Jacksonville, IL; five grandchildren, Elizabeth and Matthew Korte and Thomas (Allison) Razo and Nicholas Razo; two great-grandchildren, Logan and Emma Razo; her brother, Frank Vollmer of Belleville, IL; a sister-in-law, Sylvia Korte of Belleville, IL; three stepchildren, Julie (Dennis) Lapka, David (friend, Kathy Kinder) Feld, and Mark (Ruby) Feld; and many dear nieces and nephews.

Visitation: Friends may visit from 9 to 11 a.m. Monday, December 1, 2025, at St. Teresa Catholic Church, Belleville, IL.

Funeral: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, December 1, 2025, at St. Teresa Catholic Church, Belleville, IL.

Burial will be at Green Mount Catholic Cemetery, Belleville, IL.
