Dorothy Watts

Dorothy E. Watts, 90, of Brighton passed away unexpectedly while visiting her children and grandchildren in northern Illinois on Monday, November 26th at 7:16 am. 

She was a woman of great faith and her life was devoted to her family as a daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a member of The Church of God at Worden.  She had been a Deaconess and spent many years volunteering her time with the Women's Clubs  and Youth Organizations within her church.

She was born on Sept 21, 1928 in Brighton, IL to Henry & Alma (Schwab) Orban. 
She married Herschel E Watts on Sept 22, 1948 in Brighton. Herschel passed away Sept 7, 2015. 

Dorothy is survived by her son & daughter in law; Stan & Susan Watts of Greenfield, IL, daughters & sons in laws; Sherri & Michael Frederick of Tremont, IL and Gayle & Paul Murphy of Hoffman Estates, IL, and 12 living grandchildren:  Rachel (Doug)  Watts-Griffiths, Jared (Kathy) Watts, Vanessa (James) Frederick, Michael Watts, Julie Watts, Philip (Jeanne) Frederick, Patrick (Gina) Watts, Justin (Dana) Murphy, Nicolas (Ashley) Murphy, Amanda (Kirk) Leesman, Danielle (Sean) Stevens, Ryan (Katie) Watts & 14 living great grandchildren and one sister; Bernice Orban of Brighton. 

She was preceded in death by her husband and her son Steven Michael Watts, her parents and sisters; Marie Watson and Ferna Watson as well as brothers; Lester Orban and Earl Orban. 

Visitation will be 5-8 pm Thurs Nov 29, 2018 at Targhetta FH in Brighton. 

Funeral services will be at 10 am on Fri Nov 30, 2018 at Targhetta F H in Brighton with Pastor Steve Buchanan officiating. 

Burial will be in Brighton Cemetery. 

Memorial may be made to the American Heart Association and The Church of God at Worden.
