Doris Hunter

Doris Marie Hunter, 87, of Brighton passed away 9:30 am on June 9, 2017 at Jersey Community Hospital. She was born on June 10, 1929 at Whitehall, IL to her parents, Charles E & Esther M (Painter) Ford. She married Charles Edgar Hunter on June 25, 1948 in Jersey County. She was a beloved Mother homemaker to many. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and volunteered at the Gift Shop at Beverly FarmsSurvived by: her husband; Charles Hunter of Brighton, daughters & sons in laws; Cathy Spears & Dave Kayser of Godfrey, Kelly & John Shortal of Alton, Carla & Dave Finkes of Dow & Laurie and John Haselhorst of Brighton, sons & daughters in laws; David & Debra Hunter of Jerseyville, Howard & Anna Hunter of Ashland, OR, Steve & Denise Hunter of Jerseyville, John & Ann Hunter of Shipman, Dewain & Dasda Hunter of Jerseyville and Craig & Beth Hunter of Pocahontas, IL, 19 Grandchildren and 7 Great Grandchildren.Preceded on death by her parents and 1 sister; Shirley Wittman and 1 brother; Marvin Ford  Memorial visitation will be 5-8 pm on Wed June 14, 2017 at Targhetta & Wooldridge Funeral Home in Brighton Memorial services will be 10 am Thurs June 15, 2017 at Targhetta & Wooldridge F H in Brighton   Rev Joyce Anders officiating       Burial will take place at a later date at the Elsah Cemetery Memorial may be made to Jerseyville Library
