Doris L. Boedeker, 93, passed away at 8:20 am on October 25, 2015, at Montgomery Nursing Home and Rehabilitation.
She was born in St. Charles, MO on May 5, 1922, the daughter of the late John Elliot and Clara Mable (Eddington) Dwyer.
She married Harlan Boedeker on May 6, 1945 in Alton. He preceded her in death on
Doris worked as a registered nurse at Alton Memorial Hospital for 27 years. She was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church.
She is survived by two children; Jean Marie and (Tom) Anderson of Butler, IL and Michael B. and (Karen) Boedeker of Portage, MI; four grandchildren, Brian (Penny) Boedeker of Godfrey, Brooke Wilson of St. Charles, MO, Jason (Jen) Anderson of Hillsboro, Adam (Jacqui) Anderson of Butler.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she is preceded in death by two sisters, Bernadene Ray and Margie Mickels.
Visitation will be 10:00 am until the time of the service at 11:00 am on Thursday, October 29, 2015 at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Godfrey.
Interment will follow at Valhalla Memorial Park in Godfrey.
Memorial can be made to the Messiah Lutheran Church.
