Donna Faye Martin, age 85 of Highland, IL, died Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at Cedarhurst of Highland in Highland, IL.She was born on Monday, August 12, 1940, in Edwardsville, IL, the daughter of Leonard and Amanda (nee Sievers) Davis.
On Saturday, May 28, 1960, she married Bernard A. Martin at Eden E & R Church, Edwardsville, Illinois, who survives.
Donna was born in Edwardsville, Illinois, and grew up there. She graduated from Edwardsville High School in 1958. She attended college for 2 years and then worked for a lumber company as a secretary. Donna then started to help her husband, Bernard, on their farm. She drove tractor and did other farm work. She was a bookkeeper for Bernard as well. Donna raised two boys and then helped out with her grandkids.Donna enjoyed making ceramics and painting them. She loved to give them to people but also kept quite a few pieces at home. She and Bernard loved to travel. They had visited Switzerland, France, Alaska, Hawaii and the western states. They also went on cruises, one being to the Panama Canal. Donna loved reading romance novels and autobiographies, and she enjoyed embroidering. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Edwardsville.

- Mother - Amanda Davis (nee Sievers), died 5/10/1996

Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, IL.
Funeral Service will be at 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, IL, with Rev. John C. Shank, Trinity Lutheran Church, officiating.
Interment will be at Marine Cemetery in Marine, IL.
