Donna J. (Bennett) Beckham, 58, passed away at 3:33 p.m. Sunday, October 9, 2016 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.
Born Sept. 28, 1958 in Poplar Bluff, Mo., she was the only daughter of Daniel and Jeanetta (Eaton) Mustain.
She married Gregory A. Beckham Sept. 12, 1996 in Las Vegas, Nev. He survives.
Donna was a member of Bethel Pentecostal Church in Rosewood Heights. She was an avid reader, who liked visiting the library when she could and many times donated boxes of finished books for their use. She enjoyed traveling, especially to the ocean, Saturday night movies at home with her husband, the holidays, cross-stitching, cooking shows and quality time with her girls. The absolute jewels of her life, however, were her four grandchildren, and she treasured any time she was able to spend with them. She was a humble woman, who loved the Lord, her friends and her family, and she will be greatly missed.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters and a stepdaughter, Nicole (Jimmy) Dabbs and their children Abram and Zander, Hillary (Brice) Nelson and their son Liam, all of Alton; a stepdaughter, Ericca (Danny) Nolan and their daughter Avery of East Alton; five brothers, Daniel (Shawn) Mustain, Jr. of Alton, David Mustain of Spring, Tex., Timothy Mustain of Wood River, Mark (Teri) Mustain of Highland, Ill., and Lance (Teresa) Bennett of Merritt Island, Fla.; her mother-in-law, Juanita Nalley of Wood River; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Jay Bennett.
Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 13 at Paynic Home for Funerals, where Pastor Royce Roy will officiate services at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 14. Burial will follow at Valhalla Memorial Park in Godfrey.
Memorials may be made to the Triple Negative Breast Cancer Foundation or to Relay for Life.
