Donna Rae (Geisler) Clendenny, 77, died at 7:34 p.m., Monday, August 24, 2026 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri.
She was born July 30, 1949 in Alton, Illinois and was the daughter of the late Lester Charles "Bus" and Jessie Emma (Bock) Geisler.
She was formerly married to James Clendenny, and together they were the parents of two sons.
She worked as a cashier at Wal-Mart in Jerseyville for a number of years, but was happiest when she was able to be at home where she was a devoted mother and grandmother. Later in life, she became active in the Oasis Women's Center in Alton, where she took great pride in assisting in various speaking engagements.
Surviving are a son and daughter in-law, James and Anne Clendenny of Center, Missouri; seven grandchildren, Tyler (Kassie Kibbons) Clendenny, Taylor (Dylan) Clendenny, Amanda (Brent) Sprong, Seth Shaw, Matthew Clendenny, Elizabeth (Nathan) McCord, and Jamie Clendenny; two sisters and a brother in-law, Judy (Dave) Lewis of Jerseyville and Bonnie Lemme of Rockbridge.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Timothy Eugene Clendenny on February 11, 2013; a brother, Frederick Allen "Freddy" Geisler; and a sister, Carol Jean Kelly.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. Wednesday until time of funeral services at 12:00 p.m. at Crawford Funeral Home in Jerseyville. Frank DeWitt will officiate.
She will be laid to rest alongside her son at Kane Cemetery.
Memorials may be given to the Oasis Women's Center in Alton.
