Donald R. Treise, age 61, passed away Wednesday, September 24, 2014, at his residence. He was born May 1, 1953, in Osh Kosh, WI, the son of the late Robert Henry and June Irene (Lee) Treise. Donald married Patricia McEwen on August 9, 1994 and she preceded him in death on December 5, 2006. Donald was a machinist at Boeing, retiring after 30 years. He served his country in the U.S.Navy which he was extremely proud of. He loved riding his Harley. He and his wife were married on a motorcycle trip to Sturgis. He is survived by a sister and her spouse: Donna and Rod Thiel of Godfrey, IL and a brother and his spouse; Glenn and Renee Treise of Alton, IL and many nieces, nephews and many friends. He is preceded in death by his parents; and his wife Patricia. Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 2, 2014 from 4 pm until the time of a Celebration of Life service at 7 pm, with Rev. Charles West officiating, at the Elias, Kallal & Schaaf Funeral Home in Alton. Military rites will be accorded by the VFW Post #1308 of Alton, IL. Memorials may be directed to the Illinois Patriot Guard.
