Donald Gray

Donald L. Gray, Sr., 84 of Brighton, died at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, November 11, 2016 at Alton Memorial Hospital.

He was born to the late John B. & Georgia S. (Mattingly) Gray in Murphysboro, Illinois on January 7, 1932.

Donald married Minnie J. (Origliasso) Gray on February 27, 1953 in Collinsville, Illinois.  She survives and resides in Brighton.

He was a retired Warehouse Manager for Red Arrow.  Donald was also the Brighton Cemetery Sexton, member of the Brighton Odd Fellows Lodge #366, Member and past treasurer of St. John's United Church of Christ in Brighton.

Besides his wife, survivors include grandchildren; Savannah Gray, Justin & Lily Gray, Joshua & Miranda Gray & Ethan Gray, great grandchildren; Christine, Vivian, Daniel & Olivia Gray, 1 daughter in law; Kathleen "Lori" Gray of Brighton, 1 sister in law; Midge Gray of Carrollton, VA.

Donald was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sons; Nicklas Richard Gray, Donald L. Gray Jr., grandson; Dalton Gray, 3 sisters; Celia Corzine, Virginia Mathis, Mary Elizabeth Gray, 4 brothers; John, James, George & Billie Gray

Visitation will be from 10:00 AM to 11:45 AM on Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at Targhetta & Wooldridge Funeral Home in Brighton

ODD Fellow Services will be held at 11:45 AM following the visitation

Funeral Services will be held at noon on Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at Targhetta & Wooldridge Funeral Home in Brighton

The Rev. Laurie Crelly will officiate

Burial will be in the Brighton Cemetery

Memorials may be made to St. John's United Church of Christ
