Donald L. Gray Jr., of Brighton, died unexpectedly on August 31, 2016 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri.
He was born to Donald L. Sr. and Minnie J. (Origliasso) Gray on March 26, 1954 in East St. Louis, Illinois. Both parents survive and live in Brighton.
Donald was a 40 year employee of the Norfolk Southern Railroad, as well as a United States Army Veteran, Member of the Independent Order of the Odd Fellows Brighton Lodge #366 and active with the Boy Scouts of America.
He married Kathaleen "Lori" (Irwin) Gray on December 29, 1987 in Carlinville, Illinois. She survives and lives in Brighton.
Besides his wife and parents, survivors include 1 daughter; Savannah Gray of Davenport, Iowa, 3 sons & daughter in laws; Justin & Lily Gray of Elsah, Joshua & Miranda Gray of Waterloo, Ethan Gray of Brighton, 4 grandchildren; Christine, Vivan, Daniel and Olivia Gray, 3 dogs; Miss America, Jackson & Princess
He was preceded in death by 1 son; Dalton Gray, 1 brother; Ricky Gray and mother in law; Doris Irwin.
Visitation will be from 9:00 AM to Noon on Thursday, September 8, 2016 at Targhetta & Wooldridge Funeral Home in Brighton.
Funeral Service will be at Noon on Thursday, September 8, 2016 at Targhetta & Wooldridge Funeral Home in Brighton.
The Rev. Laurie Crelly will officiate.
Burial will take place at the Brighton Cemetery.
