Donald L. Bertagnolli, 74, of Benld, IL, died at St. John's Hospital, Springfield, IL on Wednesday, June 23, 2021 at 12:40 pm.
He was born December 16, 1946, in Litchfield, IL to Tileo Bertagnolli & Katie (Genesio) Bertagnolli.
He married Patricia A (Scott) Bertagnolli on May 19, 1972 in Carlinville, IL. She preceded him in death on October 7, 2017.
He was a retired major for the Macoupin County Sheriff's Department. Donald was a veteran of the US Army having served from 1966-1968. He was a member of the CFU Lodge 217 of Benld, IL and the American Legion.
He is survived by several cousins including Buzie Bertagnolli, god son, Craig Murray and aunt, Dolores Howe of Wood River, IL.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents and spouse.
