Donald Fredrick

Donald J. Fredrick of Alton, passed away October 3, 2018with his family by his side, under the care of BJC Hospice.

Don was born January 8, 1935 in Mosinee, WI. to Wayne and Sylvia Fredrick. He married the former Carole Howard, and they were married 55 years, she survives.

Also surviving are 2 sons, Donald (Susan) Fredrick of Brighton, IL. Todd (Bobbie Jo) Fredrick of Godfrey, IL., one daughter Dawn Denise (Joe Anders) Kibbons, of Alton, IL.; 11 grandkids, Jason (Beth) Fredrick, Chad Fredrick, Jamie (Zach Mansfied) Fredrick, Haily Fredrick, Mackenzie (David) Hedrick, Clinton Hedrick, Erica Hedrick, Miranda (Brandon) Kibbons, Samantha (Brendon) Drake, Jeff Kibbons, Kassandra (Jeremy) Tittle; 10 great grandchildren, Camberlee & Clayton Crane, Mitchell Parrish, Jayden Drake, Autumn Tittle, McKenna Granger, Somer West, Drew Fredrick, Skylar Fredrick, Trinity Hedrick; 2 great great grandchildren Karmen Mathews& Richard West.

Also surviving are 2 brothers, Walter "Wally" (Carol) Fredrick of Warsaw WI, and Charles Fredrick of Pamona CA.

Don was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers, David of NC., Ray of Marshfield WI, and William "Billy" of Mosinee WI, 1 son Kenneth Wayne Fredrick of Alton.

Don worked for Firestone for 20+ years then retired from Drake Tire in Alton after 25 years. He was an avid fisherman loving to relax with a fishing pole. And loved "hanging out" with his friends at Bluff City Bait and Tackle, formerly Rodneys.

A memorial service will be held at Heartland Baptist Church on Saturday October 6, 2018 at 11 a.m.
