Donald Frank Noble, 74, died at 3:50 a.m. Monday, October 26, 2015 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center in Lakeland, FL. Born December 25, 1940 in St. Louis, MO, he was the son of Edward F. and Fern (Wreath) Noble. He served in the U.S. Army from 1958-1961. He was a self-employed roofer and contractor and also drove the shuttle bus for the Alton Belle Casino. On May 11, 1962 he married the former Joyce E. Warren in Alton. She survives. Also surviving are three daughters, Ellen Kumar (Surinder) of Wood River, Elizabeth Korte (Brad) of Alton, and Rebecca Barton (Mike) of Wanda, IL, two sons, Donald F. Noble II of Alton, and Samuel Noble (Debra) of East Alton, 14 grandchildren, Nanu Malik (Manish), Neena Frisch (Joe), Sharma Kumar, Paige Sebold, Sydni Sebold, Abby Knoblauch, Austin Sanders, Cierra Sanders, Donald F. Noble III, Kyle Noble, Jeremiah Noble, Sammara Noble, Samantha Noble, Samuel Noble Jr., 5 great-great grandchildren, Myra Malik, Layne Frisch, Kaden Williams, Kali Shelton, and Phoenix Sanders. Also surviving is a brother, Reverend James Noble of Gold City, AZ. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Larry, George and Ralph Noble, and a sister, Margie Gibson. Visitation will be from 2:00-6:00 p.m. Sunday, November 1, 2015 Gent Funeral Home in Alton where funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 2, 2015. Burial will be at Valhalla Memorial Park in Godfrey with full Military Honors by East Alton American Legion #794. Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association.
