Donald E. Bock, 44, died at 10:58 a.m. Saturday, August 5, 2017 at his home in Brighton. Born March 21, 1973 in Alton, he was the son of Melinda (Bristow) Grabbe of Godfrey and Stephen E. Bock of Brighton. Donald was a Teamster with Local 688 and a very loving and proud father. He is survived by his parents, Steve Bock, Melinda and Henry Grabbe, his son, Ian Michael Bock of Alton, two sisters, Sara Loftus (Jamie) of Grafton and Sara Bock Berkaw (George) of Foristell, MO. Grandparents; Roberta Crandall of Godfrey, Dorothy Bock of Alton, and Mae Bristow of Springfield, IL. Aunts and uncles; Ruth Belfield (Tim), Marsha Hartman (John), Ralph Bock, William Bock, Ron Bristow, Charlotte Yinger (Tim), Melvin Bristow (Monica), and Terry Bristow (Kathy) and many loved cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by grandparents, Richard Crandall, Eugene Bock and Donald Bristow. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until time of funeral service at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, August 10, 2017 at Gent Funeral Home in Alton. Reverend David Burger will officiate.
