Donald “Don” Delp, Sr. was born on June 6, 1933 and passed away from a heart attack on September 11, 2016 at the age of 83, at his residence in Edwardsville, IL.
He is Survived by his loving wife Genevieve, of 65 years: Siblings Ruthie, Ricky, and Uncle Buck, Children: Gloria, Michael, Daryl, Pamela, Paulette, Tina, Barbara and Gary. 26 Grandchildren, 35 Great-Grandchildren, 8 Great-Great-Grandchildren and 3 Great-Great-Grandchildren to be born
He was welcome in heaven by his mother, Beulah Kraushaar-Delp, Father: Ernest Delp, Sibling: Doris, Robert, Patty, Brenda, and Ronnie and his beloved son: Donnie.
Don, Big Daddy, Grand=PaPa or Love Bucket, whichever you preferred, was a wonderful man. He enjoyed traveling the states with his wife in their camper, carving wood, talking about old cars (there wasn’t a car he didn’t recognize).
Don really enjoyed driving around the Ponderosa, looking at all the beautiful flowers. Playing with the kitty toms, and most of all sitting next to his “Beauty” (His Car). Don truly lived life to the fullest and will be deeply missed by many.
Retired as a welder at National Maintenance in 1995
