Donald E. Crawford, 80, of Brighton, IL, passed away on September 19, 2023 surrounded by loved ones. He was born on June 14, 1943, to the late Lester and Doris (Baker) Crawford in Alton, IL.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, James Layton, David Crawford and Richard Crawford. Donald served 4 years in the U.S. Air Force and worked for Olin Winchester for over 38 years. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Carolyn 'Sue' (McCauley) Crawford, his daughters Cheri (Kris) Stoffregen, and Donna Crawford and his son, Mark Crawford. Also surviving are four grandchildren, Tyler King, Kiefer King, Kali (Greg) Schwartzkof, Hunter (Sky) Stoffregen and 2 great grandchildren, Tyler Reed and Aimsley Reed. Donald will be cremated according to his wishes and the family will have a private burial at a later date. Memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrier Project or Disabled American Veterans.
