Dona “Carol” Williams, 89, of Bois D’ Arc, MO, formerly of Granite City, IL, died on Sunday, April 19, 2026 at Cox Medical Center in Springfield, MO.
She was born on February 3, 1937 in Chicago, IL to Roland Cramer and Leila Bell (nee: Garwood) Percy.
Carol married Renault Williams in Granite City, IL on June 25, 1955. He preceded her in death in 1998.
She retired from St. Elizabeth Hospital in Granite City, IL after 21 years of service. Carol was a western television fan and she enjoyed western trivia.
Carol is survived by 7 nieces and nephews: Sherry Hall, Steve Simpson, Donnie James, Dennis Simpson, Wanda Clark, Nancy Booth and Mary Ruth Nash; and a special friend and adopted step daughter, Rhonda Sullivan-Redman.
Carol was loved, she was grandma to 7 grandchildren, 12 Great-grandchildren and a Great-Great-Grandson.
Besides her husband and parents, Carol is preceded in death by a daughter, Kathy “Kat” Nighohossian and a sister, Mary Margaret Barchesky and James Sullivan.
