Dolores Maryann McCann

She was born in Carrollton on June 28, 1926, and was the daughter of the late John & Anna (Roth) Naber.
Dolores grew up in Carrollton and graduated from St. John's Catholic High School. She had worked at the International Shoe Factory in Jerseyville, and was employed as an optician with Kendrick & Lindbland located on Broadway in Alton for 20 years before her retirement. She married Leslie "Les" McCann on June 18, 1955 in East Alton, and they shared 42 years together before his death on July 23, 1997.
Surviving are a daughter, Dianne Demko of Alton; four step daughters, Doris Jean Puckett of New Baden, Eleanor McCann, Maurietta Holtman and Marie Spencer all of Jerseyville; a granddaughter, Lisa (Demko) Bregenzer of Alton; three great grandchildren, Keyra Demko, Danylle Bregenzer, and Benjamin Bregenzer all of Alton.
Preceding her in death in addition to her parents and husband, were two sisters, Sister Florian Naber and Lenore Hoffman, and two brothers, Florian Naber and Marvin Naber.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m., Wednesday until time of funeral services at 12 noon at the Crawford Funeral Home in Jerseyville. Rev. Jamie Hahn will officiate. Burial will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Jerseyville.
Memorials may be given to the family in care of the funeral home.
