Diana M. Naney, 74, of Granite City, Illinois, passed away peacefully at 11:45 a.m. on Monday, July 6, 2026, at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri.

She was born on March 24, 1952, in Oakland, California, the daughter of the late Robert and Rose (Mangiaracino) Schultz. Diana married the love of her life, Alan R. Naney, on June 29, 1971, in Memphis, Tennessee, and together they shared 55 wonderful years of marriage filled with love, laughter, and devotion to their family.

Diana retired in 2008 from Century 21 after 20 years as a dedicated realtor, where she was known for her professionalism and genuine care for her clients. She was a faithful member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Granite City, a longtime member of the Long Lake Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary, and generously volunteered for 13 years as a tax preparer with AARP, always willing to help others.

She found great happiness in quilting, sewing, and camping, hobbies that reflected her creativity and love of spending time with family and friends. Diana had a warm and cheerful spirit that brightened every room she entered. Her kindness, optimism, and gentle nature left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her. Above all, her greatest joy was the love she shared with her family, and she treasured every moment spent with them.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Alan R. Naney; two sons, Jason Naney of Naples, Florida, and Jaron Naney of Granite City; three cherished granddaughters, Kaitlyn, Kearsten, and Payton Naney; a sister-in-law, Linda Naney of Granite City; and many other extended family members and dear friends.

In celebration of her life, visitation will be held at Irwin Chapel, 3960 Maryville Road in Granite City, on Sunday, July 12, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Monday, July 13, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., with Father Steve Thompson officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Edwardsville.
